For your consideration, MAJOR METRO:

Metro, or Metty as he is known by most people, is 16.3+ of beefy OTTB gelding. He is 6 years old and is started WTC under saddle with some small jumps on occasion. He loves to jump and is a nice jumper but we are mainly focusing on getting his flatwork solid first. He has three nice bold gaits that will definitely get you noticed. He has a smooth lead change as well. He is brave and honest to fences. This guy will excel in any direction you want him to go.

Metty is a very mellow guy both under saddle and on the ground. He offers no funny business you may expect from a green horse, he is not spooky and doesn't pull any dirty moves. He loves to learn and tries his best to figure out what you're asking and do it right. You can let him sit in the field for a few weeks and hop back on and pick up exactly where you left off. He causes no drama in the field and gets along with pretty much anybody of any species. He is good with kids, dogs, cats, goats, baby strollers, road traffic, other horses, gun shots, etc. He will hack out alone or with a group. He is currently living out 24/7 with a couple other geldings but he's equally happy in a mixed herd and can be in a stall. He's not your typical OTTB princess, he's easy going and unfazed by anything I've thrown at him so far.

He clips, ties, loads, bathes, and stands for the vet and farrier. I currently have him in shoes but he has been barefoot in the past. Needs a little bit of maintenance for a small amount of hock arthritis but it is not limiting at all.

He is an exceptionally good boy but he is still green, so he requires a confident and competent rider. He has more go than whoa but he won't run away with you either. He would be an excellent step up horse for a teen or adult amateur with a trainer to bring along and grow with. Metty needs his own person, he is not happy as one of many in a program. He's a little shy with new people, but once he gets to know you he is a very affectionate in your pocket type horse who thrives on attention.

He is currently located in Culpeper VA and will be relocating to Tampa FL in March if he doesn't find his new person before then. Selling through no fault of his own, I am moving and trying to downsize before my move. Low-mid 4s.
