Price Reduced! Firefly is a lovely intelligent and willing horse looking for his person. A 9 year old chestnut OTTB, he was restarted in 2020. This gorgeous horse is looking for someone who would enjoy schooling in the ring, lessons, some trail rides and local shows. He might make a low level school horse. The rigors of racing have left him with a chip in his knee and minor arthritis. He is sound without maintenance and these things aren't bothering him. He's been ridden and jumped regularly for a year without any health issues.

He has 3 well balanced comfortable gaits and is a kick ride on the flat. He might make a nice western horse with his slow jog trot. He's easy to control and good going over poles or cavalleti. He gets more energy jumping and seems to love it. He's been hauled off property for trail rides and lessons and has been a perfect gentleman. He's been on trail rides in a group but hadn't done much alone. He's crossed streams including a deep one, been in forests and open areas, hilly conditions and along roads. He went to 2 local shows this spring and happily jumped cross rail courses. He is doing 2 ft courses at home and has been introduced to xc jumping. He also lunges very well on voice commands and even lunges over jumps.

This is a very lovable sweet horse who likes to be groomed and bathed, loves a good scratch and drinking from the hose. Sound, no vices, good feet, stands for vet and farrier (front shoes only). This guy is amateur friendly (but not for beginners until he has a bit more exposure) and ready to start a career in any discipline.
