**SOLD** 2008 Arabian X gelding. 14.3h flea bitten grey. Reluctantly listed for sale by loving owner due to owner's health issues.
Firefly is a very sweet guy. He always greets his person at the gate with a happy neigh.
He can be stall or field boarded. He has been field boarded for the last few years. He's an easy keeper -- living off grass in summer and hay in winter. When brought into the barn to be groomed he stands in xties. He is pleasant for anyone to groom, makes goofy faces, and loves a good scratch. A barn favorite. Very much the typical Arabian people oriented horse. He stands politely for the vet and farrier. He has great feet and goes barefoot. He is current on all vaccinations including Lyme, which he tested negative prior to getting vaccinated.
Firefly enjoys going on nature walks with his person. He is curious and likes to look, but doesn't usually react. If he does it's a slight shy.
He has terrific ground manners and has been trained in natural horsemanship techniques. He is extremely smart and learns quickly. He loads and unloads in trailer easily.
Additionally he lunges nicely with or without a rider.
Under saddle in the arena he has more whoa than go. When you do get him going that huge ground covering stride is amazing. He has basic dressage skills and has done some low level jumping in the past.
He has never bucked, reared, or kicked. No bite or crib either.
Firefly is not a beginner ride. He needs a confident, quiet rider with leg. He rides well off the leg. He uses a snaffle bit but can also go bitless.
Firefly has been used in unicorn photo shoots with children and he is patient and polite.
Firefly would love to be an endurance mount. He is happy on the trail and would make his person proud with that huge stride.
