Tutto Bene is a 2016, dark bay, 16.1h mare. "Bene" has a very interesting backstory, which really exemplifies her versatility and adaptability. Bene was California-bred- her grandsire is the Irish-bred "In Excess"- and had just two starts on the track. She then transitioned to life as a polo pony for three years. Unfortunately for her polo owner, Bene grew too tall for the job, finishing at a solid 16.1! Since January of this year, Bene has since been showing off her incredible prowess on the flat- she is an uncommonly spectacular mover, with natural self-carriage.
Bene was started over fences in the famous Hitchcock Woods, and is totally unfazed by logs, brush, coops, etc. She has been foxhunting once with Whiskey Road Foxhounds, in second flight, and was superbly behaved. Bene has also attended a schooling dressage show in Aiken, where she placed 2nd in a class of about 15 competitors. More recently, Bene has been cross-country schooling and to a jumper show, both of which she excelled at.
This mare is ALL CLASS. She travels well, and adapts to new situations easily. She trail rides on the buckle, and is extremely safe, but also incredibly athletic and fancy. This is one that could truly go in any direction. She has the movement to be a serious prospect for straight dressage, but could also event or foxhunt.
Bene is clean-legged (aside from some cosmetic scars from an old pasture accident) with great feet and no vices. She has excellent uphill conformation and is very quiet and easy to handle on the ground. This is a very special horse that you won't want to miss out on.
