'Simon' would be best suited for a confident rider as he tends to "test" a more timid/inexperienced rider under saddle. Does best in consistent work.He would do great in a lesson program as he is a Schoolmaster type; ride him like a dressage horse and he'll go like one, same thing if you ride him like a hunter horse etc. Easily could excel in low-level dressage . Hacks out on the buckle alone or with other horses no problem. Easily goes on the bit, responds well to seat aids, quick learner, aims to please. Pretty straightforward guy if he knows you mean business.
CONS:
-Hocks require maintenance.
-Limitations: due to previous injuries and a long time at the track, he is most comfortable doing WTC. No jumping at the moment but should be able to do small stuff in the future. On the ground: -Not the best in crossties. Sometimes sucks back/breaks loose BUT he usually gives plenty of warning signs, and I bet if this were consistently worked on it would improve. Does fine tacking up in a stall. -Grooming: typical TB 🤣 Upfront and honest ad in hopes for a quick uncomplicated sale. Additional details, X-rays, medical history etc. available upon request. Very honestly introducing Simon🌟

JC registered "Only Simon" is a 16.2h 2010 thoroughbred gelding. Stands for vet/farrier, loads and trailers well, UTD on shots, teeth, coggins, etc. Currently in front shoes only. Can be turned out with mares or geldings- bottom of the totem pole type.
