Private Barn looking for Fulltime Help in Powhatan, Va. I am located before the Cumberland line and before the Amelia line.
Individual MUST have experience with green horses, ottbs, rehab;and additionally, poseess knowledge of grooming, bandaging, medical.The job hours are 730 until 430 Monday through Friday with pay at $19 an hour.The position doesn't require weekends but occasionally weekday people must help out on weekends. This is stated upfront. We are a team environment and help one another out,which may include exchanging a weekend day for weekday.This allows for the flebility mentioned at bottom of ad.
The job includes the splitting of cleaning of 9 stalls with 1 other person; to include: buckets, shavings, haynets. The barn is always split with another so that the training, animal and farm care remain consistent. The position requires taking horses out everyday.and bringing in for evenings.
Afternoons are spent training, washing etc.
The ideal candidate must be reliable, honest, hard worker and be a team player. The position involves riding and the breaking of horses. The job is flexible in the understanding that people have to take care of their medical and personal lives during weekday hours.
