We are looking for a full-time home and show groom who will assist with all aspects of horse care for a boutique hunter / jumper facility in Virginia. Our groom will be based in Virginia but will travel with us to Ocala FL in the winter and to shows along the east coast during the rest of the year. Prior experience with AA show jumping horses / farm is required. Our new groom should be able to lead horses, groom to a high level, and identify illness or injury. Duties will include (but are not limited to) feeding, grooming, stall cleaning, water bucket cleaning, wrapping, packing feed, bodyclipping, dragging arena, dragging or picking paddocks, keeping the barn and facility clean and organized and possibly some farm maintenance when necessary.
This is a professional groom position. There is no riding opportunity available.
A competitive salary based on experience is offered, with paid time off and sick days. Housing is not provided in Virginia but will be provided in Florida and at shows.
